The roots of Transwest Air is in Saskatchewan’s north. It is our home, our backyard, and our workplace. We live among those evacuated and understand the struggle of leaving your home without knowing what you may return to.
We have been working closely with the Prince Albert Grand Council to assist the evacuees who sought refuge in P.A. by providing shuttle service for food, entertainment or whatever their needs may be. We have also provided aerial support to combat the fire activity in our northern backyard, as well air transportation for P.A.G.C. Chiefs and officials to view the destruction of the fire.
We are incredibly grateful to our friends from the Stony Rapids Parish Council and local community, who have generously donated boxes of clothing and other items useful to those who have left their homes. We have offered our services to deliver these items to shelters for those affected.
It is at times like these that our strength through each other will overcome adversity. The outpouring of support from local communities is testament to the love and hospitality that Saskatchewan is known for, and what makes us at Transwest proud to serve the North.
